The History of the Club

E.M.A.C. was originally conceived in the hearland of the Midwest in the late 1980's. We were then working out of a small old building teaching different martial arts under one roof. At the time many schools only taught one style or system, so this was an unusual thing to see.

EMAC found itself housing instructors teaching different martial arts all at the same location but with different schedules. This was all happening before cross training became popular.

Today the Eclectic Martial Arts Club is still promoting different arts and offers extra group training or even seminars for those interested in learning these arts, and to further explore the arts we teach. Our newest location has opened up in Indiana and is currently teaching the arts of Jeet Kune Do & Kalsadapo to teens and adults.

At the Eclectic Martial Arts Club we will take you beyond the classical teachings of how to block and punch. You will learn to train your senses and adapt to your environment. We will help you learn how to react from a variety of angles and positions, preparing you to respond quickly to situations.

Our Club is lucky enough to have to have as its top instructor Sifu Russell Fuson. Sifu Fuson has been involved in the arts since the mid 70's and brings with him the experiences and knowledge of decades of training and association with some of the finest martial artists of our time.
